Water supply from Opa Water Works at Curti in the Ponda taluka resumed on Friday after the PWD replaced two 48-year-old, 33kVA electricity transformers at the water treatment plant. Although the department’s water division had announced a shutdown for Friday and Saturday, work on the transformers was completed earlier than expected. Panaji will consequently receive water supply on Saturday itself.
