After the success of the pilot project at Government College, Pernem, the state government is set to install ‘Automated go to mount’ telescopes, which can track moving objects in the sky, in three other government-run colleges. The telescopes will aid multidisciplinary education, as required by the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, by introducing non-science stream students to astronomy.
