Khandola's Buddhist links unearthed during biodiversity study after one-celled cave discovered behind dry overgrowth

A man-made, single-celled Buddhist cave was unearthed on Monday at Tamsuli in Ponda taluka’s Khandola village through the efforts of the biodiversity management committee (BMC) of the Betki-Khandola panchayat. Experts have dated the cave to the third-fourth century CE based on the architectural features of its pillars and stupa.
