Goa: ICAR develops tech for production of gluten-free vermicelli

Rural women who make vermicelli out of jackfruit and banana may soon find a market among buyers that prefer their food to be gluten-free. The ICAR-Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute (CCARI) has developed a technology to produce vermicelli out of the two fruits and is training rural women to make the gluten-free vermicelli variant.
