After construction work on the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) was initiated without an environmental clearance, a fine of Rs 23 lakh has been imposed on the project by the Goa State Environment Impact Assessment Authority (Goa-SEIAA). The institute is funded by the Union ministry of Ayush.
